Cybersecurity Services in UAE

Most of the security problems we see at client offices don't start with some clever hacker. They start with an email. Someone in accounts opens what looks like a courier delivery notice, types in their Microsoft 365 password, and two days later a supplier is asking why they received an invoice with new bank details. Or the firewall in the server room is still running firmware from three years ago because nobody remembered it was there.

We've been fixing IT problems for companies in Dubai for more than 25 years, and lately cybersecurity has gone from an occasional question to something almost every client asks about. So we built our cybersecurity services in UAE around what actually goes wrong in small and mid-sized offices, schools and public sector organisations. If you're looking for a cybersecurity company in Dubai, Sharjah or Abu Dhabi, it's the same team and the same approach.

What we do

The firewall is usually where we start. We supply Fortinet FortiGate, Sophos and Barracuda units, but installation and configuration is the easy part. Keeping the rules tidy, giving remote staff a proper VPN and updating the firmware every few months is where most firewalls fall behind. Clients who don't want to think about it at all can move to our managed firewall services.

Every laptop, desktop and server then gets endpoint protection. Plain antivirus doesn't catch much these days, so we use endpoint security from Bitdefender, Kaspersky or Sophos. It covers antivirus and anti-malware together and reports back to one console that we keep an eye on.

Email is the next weak spot. Turning on multi-factor authentication in Microsoft 365 takes an afternoon and stops a surprising number of attacks by itself. We also tighten the phishing filters and check who can share files with people outside the company, which is often far more open than owners realise.

For ransomware protection, backups matter more than anything else. We set up Veeam or Acronis with a copy stored offsite, and then we test the restore. A backup that has never been restored is really just a hope.

Not sure where you stand? Our cybersecurity assessment looks at your network, devices and user accounts. You get a short written report, in plain language, showing what to fix first.

Clients on our managed cybersecurity services also get patching, security monitoring and someone to call when something looks wrong. That includes nights and weekends, since emergency support runs 24/7.

Why Choose ACS

We're not a security-only company, and that turns out to be useful. We already look after the IT support, hardware and network for most of our clients, so network security gets planned into the setup instead of being bolted on at the end. That usually means fewer products to pay for and less for your staff to deal with.

We're an authorised partner for the brands we recommend, so licences are genuine. We also try to be sensible about cost. A ten-person trading company in Deira doesn't need what a bank needs, and we won't pretend otherwise.

We're rated Excellent on Google from over 100 reviews, which we're quite proud of.

Data protection

The UAE's Personal Data Protection Law expects companies to look after the personal data they hold, and businesses in DIFC or ADGM have their own rules on top of that. Good access control, encryption and reliable backups take care of a lot of it. We can help put those in place and keep records showing they're there.

Cybersecurity FAQs

Q1. What do your cybersecurity services include?

For most offices, a firewall, endpoint protection on every device, email security and backups. Bigger companies often add security monitoring or a yearly cybersecurity assessment.

Q2. We're a small company. Is this really necessary?

Small businesses get hit more often than people think, mostly because attackers know there's rarely anyone watching. The basics aren't expensive. Multi-factor authentication and decent backups alone stop most of what we see.

Q3. Which firewall should we go with?

It depends on how many users you have, your internet line and whether you have branches. We mostly install Fortinet FortiGate and Sophos, sometimes Barracuda, and recommend one after a quick look at your setup.

Q4. What do we do if ransomware hits?

Disconnect the affected machines from the network and call us. Our team is available 24/7, and if your backups were set up properly, we can usually restore your data without anyone paying a ransom.

Q5. Can you help with PDPL compliance?

On the technical side, yes: access control, encryption, backups and the paperwork showing they're in place. For the legal side, you'll still want a lawyer.

Q6. Do you only work in Dubai?

No. Our office is in Bur Dubai, but we also have clients in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman. Some support is remote and the rest is on site.

Q7. How long does setup take?

A week or two for most small and mid-sized offices. Larger networks take longer, and we'll give you a realistic timeline before we start.
